We had set up camp in the lowland prior to our ascent of the neighbouring mountain range, a trek that was to last for the next two weeks.

The next day, as we rose from our slumbers, we were greeted by a sight we had never witnessed before. The vista across the hills was, although somewhat shrouded in low cloud, something straight out of a book by J.R.R.Tolkien. Imagine a valley that, although pleasing to the eye, held us all transfixed by a strange feeling of foreboding.

    Great textures, Kathie.

a beautiful abstract landscape. love the sandy textures at the bottom with the white patches at the top. You create a whole world from what people pass by every day and don’t even look at. your photos continue to make nature sacred.
