They are! Thank you Joyce, glad you love it :)
Beautiful stone work…..Wonderful image showing off the arches…..
It is absolutely a beautiful work, would have loved to see how it looked 2500 years ago!! Thank you for your comment and glad you like it :)
Now if we could only get our governments to get along and play nice with each other these sites could be enjoyed by everyone….
Very well said Thomas! That’s what I wish for on a daily basis!
Not just a beautiful image, but very interesting, too! What draws my attention especially, is the layering of brick and natural stone (rocks) – something I’ve just recently seen also in Istanbul in early Medieval architecture! I haven’t been to Rey (though I’ve been in Iran twice) – bookmarking this page so I’ll be reminded if I can go there again (I’d love to!)
Thank you very much for visiting and leaving this great comment! Turkey and Iran has a lot in common. I have been to Istanbul once and can not wait to go back there again specially that the last time I went I had a point and shoot! Rey is a small yet old city near Tehran. I hope you can visit it next time you are here. Don’t forget to let me know if you are coming this way :)
