The Franconian capital, Nuremberg, is an enchanting often forgotten city and well worth a visit and not just for the Christmas market.

Great old worlde architecture, delicious beer and sausages and a lovely canal/river feeling. You have to go for one of the old town hotels and make the most of it!

This is the former Wine Depot with the Hangman’s Bridge. Constructed in the 15th century it is one of the medieval covered bridges over the River Pegnitz.

Location: Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany.

I must get there on day…
    I just love this…

  • Larry, you would love Nuremberg. Really “photogenic” with lots to see, rivers, fascinating buildings and delicious food. If you come to Munich you’ll have several places within a couple of hours – Salzburg, Nuremberg, Regensburg and countless small viillages, the lakes and mountains… Spoilt for choice. Kasia
