This view made me think of Florence Nightingale and all her important pioneering work in nursing in the 19th Century. She was also a writer and statistician.

Location: Schwabing Clinic (built 1909), Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Nikon D7000, Lensbaby Composer Pro, 50mm, no aperture disc, manual focus and settings. Hand-held. ISO 4000 (by mistake). Captured in RAW, converted to JPG via DNG. CS4: Slight straightening lines and crop plus adjustment of sharpening, tones, etc. in NikColorEfex 4.0.

    Very nice and almost ghostly.

  • Gary, thank you. This was a very quick manual focus of the Lensbaby before she disappeared and not wanting to be intrusive either. So I think the ghostly feel comes from the combination of the Lensbaby, my accidental ISO 4000 and handheld. The walls and lighting gave everything a yellow tinge as the visitor’s jelaba or similar was white.
