Gettting to grips with the Lensbaby optics system can take a bit of getting used to. It certainly helps to understand the basics of photography when it comes to manual settings, focus, etc. It is both educational and fun, especially when you start to max out the creativity the system allows.
I captured this shot with my Nikon D7000 combined with the Lensbaby Composer Pro, the 50 mm double glass optic which has a multi-coated glass doublet and a star-shaped aperture disc. 1/200s, ISO 3200. Hand-held manual focus.
I aimed at coloured lights several feet away through glass and adjusted the focus to get the full effect of the aperture disc.
Captured in RAW and transferred to JPG via DGN.
