Walking around the Old Town of Edinburgh it is easy to be inspired by modern crime writers or historic criminals.
This shot, captured in the windows of the Jury Inn in Jeffrey Street, was inspired by my favourite crime author Ian Rankin and my Redbubble friend Robin Brown. Both of whom I met last year in fitting surroundings! Check out this Capital Tee by Robin’s Block Capitals

Superb, I like this. The North Bridge area is a wonderful place for photography …
Tom, thank you. It is another of those places which has much improved since the 80s, with the hotel, the galleries, shops, etc. I could have spent more time there. This time I visited the Catholic Church which I had never noticed till Ian Rankin mentioned it in “The Complaints” I had lunch back on the High Street at a pub called The Tass – good grub without whisky sauce on the MacSween’s Haggis:-)
Yes:-) I also did a charity Rebus Tour last year where Ian Rankin joined us for a couple of pints and corned beef and beetroot sandwiches in The Royal Oak in Infirmary Street. We got to ask him questions and get our photos taken with him too. He really is a down-to-earth guy. Kasia
Your image is so Gorgeous Artwork and I love it :) Take care and love yourself everyday. Sunny, thank you! I really like that quote from Audrey Hepburn – thanks for sharing. Kasia
that’s really nice Kasia!! such a clever idea, and looks great in black and white.
Adrian, thank you you! The idea was a mixture of seeing those interesting reflections and then noticing both the taxi and those guys on the other side walking off. Kasia
