Nymphenburg Palace is run and maintained by the Bavarian Palace Department. Building began on this summer palace west of Munich in 1664. The palace is set in magnificent surroundings with a large park and nearby orangerie and botanic gardens.
Captured on a summer evening several years ago with my first digital camera. I experimented to get the backlight/sunset light through the windows as it reminded me somehow of the Magritte paintings I’d seen in Bruxelles. And to capture the seagull too:-)
I have a few other favourite shots from that evening. Although I’ve been back many times since none of my shots have got close to the light and mood that evening.
