It was an extremely cold winter evening – several degrees below zero – and I went for a photo tour to capture the winter sunset from the Olympic Hill and night views of the sports venues! I was so lucky that the stadium was illuminated despite the cold. My cycling gloves helped protect my fingers just a little. But it was worth it!
This is part of the unique architecture of the Olympic stadium – one of a number of buildings built for the 1972 Olympic Games. The roof of this stadium is a protected building.
