A boat travelling up the narrow sound between Islay and Jura with the famous hills The Paps of Jura beyond.
Beinn an Òir (Gaelic: mountain of gold) – 2,575 ft or 785 m),
Beinn Shiantaidh (Gaelic: holy mountain) – 2,477 ft or 755 m.
Port Askaig is one of the two ferry terminals from mainland Scotland to Islay and for the small ferry to Jura.
Nikon D200, Sigma 18-200mm.
Location: Port Akaig, Islay, Inner Hebrides, Scotland.
