Taken from the single-track road between Lochportain and Hoebeg. I think this is Loch an t-Sagairt. I loved the moody dark clouds and contrasts. There is something so special for me about the Hebridean islands and this scene depicts the amazing contrasts between darkness and light that seems to be so ever present.

Location: Lochportain, North Uist, Outer Hebrides, Scotland, UK.
Nikon D200, Sigma 18-200mm. Captured in RAW. Cokin Grey Grad filter. CS4 – auto tone and colour correction only.

  • Hélène, thank you! I’m pleased you like this moody view. The rain did come but no real storm.

  • Lilian, thank you. There wasn’t actually a storm though it does look like that. Just a wee bit of rain before the sun came out later in the day.
