View of the Bunnahabhain Distillery on the inner Hebridean island of Islay. The distillery was built in 1880/81. The whisky has a less peaty, milder flavour than many of the other whiskies on the island.
This is one of eight active distilleries (!) on the island and the most northerly with wonderful views across the sound to the neighbouring isle of Jura.
It has its own small harbour in the picturesque bay and a small village too – definitely worth the drive up the coast for the views in addition to a wee dram!
