I couldn’t really choose just one special place in Scotland as there are so many but I love the Hebrides and Berneray is one of my favourite islands so this shot represents them all – wide open spaces, beautiful scenery, rugged coastlines, gorgeous beaches, barren hillsides and such welcoming people.
Turquoise blue Atlantic water over the sound from Berneray to North Uist. Beautiful weather, but not warm enough to swim at just around 13°C. This was taken to the west of the ferry terminal and the causeway that joins the two islands.
