Super shot from this lovely beach …

  • Tom, thank you! I like to take the bus down to Portie, if I get a chance when I’m in Edinburgh. Brings backs memories:-)

I love how the line of cloud almost mirrors the beach line. Stunning!!

  • Colin, thank you! I was pleased that sky played along. I’ve got a few other shots of this long sandy beach but they are not the quite same with just a blue sky:-)

What a beautiful scene! Looks so inviting!

  • ’Baby, thank you!! It is a lovely place for a walk and just a short bus ride from the centre of busy Edinburgh. Few tourists think of going here or the other beaches further along the coast. Definitely not as warm as the Philippines though LOL

Been there done that & still huv nae got the T-shirt!
Belter oh a shot Kasia :o) xx

  • Thanks, mate. It was your comment about Portie on my Venice Beach shots that encouraged me to upload equivalent photos;-) Not really that much difference, to be honest. Portobello is less seedy than 20 years ago and VB is probably more so. VB gets a lot of sea mist in the summer, though the water is a tad warmer at around 19 – 20°. Of course, the air definitely is hot when there is no mist, and there are body builders and more beach babes. But you’ve got less down and outs sleeping around the beach in PB, and you’re not fined if you go on the beach between dusk and dawn, as far as I know! In fact, the whole place seemed to shut up at around 8 p.m.

PS: Isn’t PB a good theme for a Tee, Mr B?
