The fish was probably jumping for flies and the bird, a tern, was scanning the loch for fish:-)
But for me it was a very special moment, worth getting up before 4 a.m. for!
Dedicated to Mother Nature – a fantastic artist, who had me jumping for joy at being able to witness and capture these wonders!
It was just after dawn at the beginning of June. As I was standing on the small harbour pier quietly photographing the tern on its path over Loch Indaal, I noticed something move out of the corner of my eye. My camera was fixed on my tripod so had limited movement, but I managed to capture the fish which was mid-air and as it twisted and splashed back into the salty waters of the sea loch.
