Endless Wait
6.05 a.m. and the flight has been delayed. Passengers wait impatiently for their escape to the sun.
There are several levels to this shot with reflections from a window behind me onto a glass partition, the outline of the moving escalator which I was on, and people sitting or standing behind the glass partition. The warm colours come from the pre-sunrise light through the windows behind.
Nikon D70, Sigma 70-300mm. 70 mm, f/5, 1/50s. Slight straightening and crop. Tonal corrections but no digital artwork processing.
Location: Terminal 2, Munich Airport, Germany.

Beautiful effects….. in avition delays are normal…... :((
Kasia-D replied
Bazzuka, thank you! I don’t usually get frustrated – still usually better than being stuck for hours in a car on the motorway. Obrigado!

Well put together… I love it.
You’ve got me salivating now, waiting to see what I might find.
( Roll on October.)
Kasia-D replied
Larry, I admit I searched my archives yesterday to find this shot especially for you:-) I hoped you would like it so thank you for your kind words. Whatever you do make sure you have your camera handy in October.
I took it four years ago when I’d just got my Sigma 70-200mm tele-lens and spent the waiting time experimenting. It’s one of those lucky moments, I suppose.
Roslyn Slater
Makes a very interesting and artistic image.
Kasia-D replied
Roslyn, thank you for your lovely comment!

This is an excellent image, you should hawk this around to be used for some sort of corporate or uni advertising, I am sure there are many possibilities for this great image.
Kasia-D replied
Wow, Kala, thank you so much for your really great encouragement! I’m not sure how to go about the “hawking” but I will definitely think about that. I really appreciate your opinion.
Vicki Ferrari
Love this Kasia! Great shot! And love the title!

Thank you so much!

This is great! I’m a big fan of reflections. When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was some kind of orchestra playing in a hotel lounge.
Kasia-D replied
Hi Denis, thank you so much! I can see the resemblance to an orchestra – but this one wasn’t in tune:-)
