looks very spiky. Are these the fruit that have a very stong smell?

yes it is a fruit found in south east asia, malaysia, thailand, indonesia it is quite large, the size of a football with pips inside covered by a custardy pith
it smells very strongly like dirty socks, and tastes a bit like baked sweet onion the first few times i tried it couldn’t stand the smell but am starting to like it
the locals absolutely love it and are quite addicted to it
