    i love the colours and the light and the looseness of form. the gold-sepia-red is wonderful against the dark lines. reminds me of the old spanish paintings in the grace emily hotel in adelaide, and older, deeper memories from my childhood. i think the colour’s a trigger.

    oh, i’m smitten with this. and i’m out of words. great work, karolina.

    Thanks so much! it’s one of my favourite self-portraits (gosh that sounds egotistical)
    ... but yeah, in general i’m a big fan of drawing and painting freely- and staying outside of the box :) And I’m glad I can evoke some good memories for ya :D
