D.DAY REMEMBERANCE/ HOMAGE TO THE DEAD ONES

Today, was the Official opening of the Show in Dol , where ELF EVANS and I , are exhibiting some of our works.
Today, was Remembrance Day,
D-Day,where in a remote area in France, thousands of young soldiers gave their life so that the french, would continue to speak french.
Imagine, youths, taken from their homes,no way to say no!
Dragged to the butchery,in a foreign land!
Many of them, couldn’t kiss their girlfriend goodbye!
Or ,assist their wife in giving birth to their first child.
Some of them , not old enough to drink alcohol, eyes , wide opened,
their heart, beating fast!
Some, not even able to shave yet! and they were sent to their doom!
Blood, sinking in the sand, screams, heard in the nearby villages,
Uniforms, torned,
Bullets,dancing around them,
The smell of the sea, and the wind in their hair!
A smile, although fear was melting them!
A thought towards their girlfriend, wife, mother, sister,
Some, put aside because they were BLACKS!
What colour is blood?
Legs shaking,
Hands, shaking,
Drops of sweat, dripping from their eyebrows,
To their nose, down the mouth,
And the almost same taste as the sea,
That they just jumped into,
So as to join the french coast.
Three BLACK WOMEN SOLDIERS
Crimson!
Cold!
White graves!
FREEDOM FOR THE FRENCH!
I want to remember of course all soldiers, whites, blacks, jews, from the states and uk who joined their expertise and forces to help in the freedom of this country!
