I am an avid painter and drawing artist based in San Antonio Texas. I also like to dabble in wood sculpture and am lucky enough to work regularly as an editorial cartoonist for various newspapers. I have had experience with publishing my own comics and books for children and have taught students of painting and drawing for many years. My paintings and drawings usually utilize everyday materials in uncommon ways such as melting crayons for encaustic painting or using walls of Lego blocks as canvas. I like to make work that suggests playful and humorous viewer participation and stresses that art is best when it is engaging and thought provoking.
