On a recent trip to D.C. I took a number of pictures at the Vietnam Memorial, somewhere I find to be very moving and not a little sad. To see the veterans searching for lost friends, the famalies praying at the wall on which a family members name is inscribed is almost heartbreaking.
These pictures, for me, are not just of a trip I took, they are so much more. They urge me, nay they require me, to remember what the men on that wall died for. This small flag against that huge wall is a poignant reminder of what they died protecting.
