My niece of then six years old enjoyed feeding the ducks and geese at the only pond in our town (called a city, but, well…) After two years of feeding ducks and geese she decided she was quite the pro. Certainly for a six year old, two years was quite long enough for an internship. This particular day multitudes of gulls were also at the park. That didn’t bother her until they took over the feeding and chased the ducks and geese away from her. Her solution was to just move away from the gulls and find another group of ducks and geese. After three or four attempts she realized it was a losing battle and she just fed the gulls. This photo was taken while she was looking for a place where she could get away from the gulls and feed her beloved ducks.

Thanks Karen. You always have such lovely descriptions of what you like. :) I wasn’t sure how I would work it or even if I’d come up with something I liked. Nice to know that it turned out alright. :) Yes, it was a lovely sunny day :)

How sweet! Those gulls are gluttonous! Once, at Sea World, we had one swoop down and snag an entire ( and huge) rib bone that we had just eaten…and swallowed it whole! Greedy gulls aside…love this, reminds me of myself and my kids feeding the ducks when we were all small…a rite of childhood passage! Excellent!
Thanks Karen! I imagine we all have stories of greedy gulls. :) I know I have at least a couple more! lol!
