Acrylic on canvas
Inspired by the calla lilies that grow every year in my backyard. These calla lilies were here when we moved into this house 28 years ago. Every year they come up. For a handful of years we had a black lab who loved to lay in the corner where they grow. They returned each year even though he slept on them. When I went through a few years of medicated haze and depression, these calla lilies went through much neglect. They still came up and bloomed. There’s a life lesson in there that I need to continually remember. 499 views

From painting in-home murals, to painting on glass, to painting on a more expected surface-various sized canvases- I’ve found a way to express my moods and thoughts. Photography and its corresponding photo editing is a relatively new, and enjoyable, endeavor.

Wonderful, It’s rare you see leaves as beautiful as the flowers. Love it!
Thank you, Devi! My poor Callas are so confused right now—they are supposed to be about all the way died out by now, but because of the crazy weather here, they are sending up new shoots!
