Life isn’t always happy, nor is it always sad; but rarely is it merely in between the two. In the land of polar extremes lie my creations. Some works are a bit dark which are the very things that get me through those times. Others are a bit quirky which usually means they’ve been done in a hypo-manic state. Many works just are. I share with you my heart, my self, my despair and my hope.

Inspiration almost always sneaks up from behind and catches me by surprise. Many times I am inspired by one of your works, either visual or written.

La Calavera

Dia de los muertos (day of the dead) will soon be celebrated. My painting that I have refer to as La Calavera (the skull) because I gave it a rather long title (Entrelazada de la vida y la muerta) will be shown at a gallery in Northern California during their Day of the Dead show. I’m quite honored as well as excited and I thought I’d share.

But decided rather to attempt the task. / In the style of the Disintegration Collaborati…

Something beautiful usually comes out of it. Thus far: not so much. Since this depression began in late April 2011,…

DisCo Project : This Is My Father's World

This is a bit of a long read, but I would appreciate your thoughts if you would care to put the time into reading it. Thank you. / A little over a year ago, Janis Zroback began a group called the Disintegration Project (DisCo). / For all appearances it looked as if I had not only forgotten the project but dropped out; but, when the project began it was the beginning of spring in my part of the w…
