I’m going to be quite absent for a while to come; Wil and I bought a house a while back and are in the process of renovating it. Plus there’s the move itself which will take up some time.

I joined the hype a few months ago. I didn’t see the point of twitter at first but lately I’ve been enjoying the idea of not having to write a full-on blogpost when all I have to say at one time or another is “Crap I broke my nail” or “I have a new review online read it here linkity link”.

I made it through the first phase of the art school application. Three weeks from now is the formal interview & assessment. I feel good knowing I have some extra time to prepare!

Last year I applied to go to art school in DB, and I got accepted, started in August. But I didn’t feel at home there; the material was limited to documentary photography and I felt I wanted to learn more prior to deciding on documentary, or fashion, or journalistic, or commercial. Reading & Reviewing volume 1
For over a year now, I’ve been working on project Reading & Reviewing (R&R), a series combining book reviews with accompanying self-portraits. The first 40 R&R’s have been compiled in a book!

The Rambler
A photo of mine called “Late Night Reading” (a self-portrait involving a book of course) has been published in the January/February edition of The Rambler, an American magazine on personal expression (by means of writing or photography).
