Colour wheel 2 by Karin Zeller

I started this ages as an exercise. Then tired of it, as there was so much work involved. Recently I decided to finish it. So here it is. It was intended to be a watercolour only, but then I decided to add coloured pencil to make it more vibrant. Anyway, finally finished it.
Watercolour / coloured pencil on Arches 300 gsm cold press paper.
27 cm square

I have been a professional artist since 1990, starting out doing pencil portrait commissions. These days I have my own back yard studio, where I work towards future exhibitions, and teach weekly classes & workshops in watercolour and acrylics as well as drawing.
My studio is located in Hobson’s Bay ( Altona Meadows) , Victoria

What a beautiful color wheel. I never got to make mine pretty like this. It was boring. :o)

  • Thank you, Bunny! I’ve done many colour wheels – they are generally fun to do. My inspiration for the fancy ones comes from a great book called “Drawing on the light from within”. Can’t think of the author , but you can probably find her by googling that title. Great book, which inspired many drawings and paintings.

Would love to see this in a T-shirt form. It’s beautiful!

  • Thank you for your feedback – what a great idea ! I really should make some of my art into T- shirts.
