This was a colourwheel exercise I did , inspired by a book I bought a few years ago. It took me a while to do the design, and then had to paint each shape and colour , which was a very labour intensive exercise. This was done in gouache, on watercolour paper. Aproximately 32 cm square. After I painted the colourwheel, I glued it onto black paper. Recently I found a frame in my studio that fit it perfectly . I decided to put it in our exhibition, and it sold. Well, I’m happy that I can still hopefully get a good print of it on Redbubble.

Hi Karin – this looked really great at the exhibition – it was quite striking

  • Thanks, Karen! It did look good in a frame. Glad I got a good photo of it, because I might order a print of it to hang in my studio. : )

  • Thank you, Shylie ! I’ve done many colour wheels – they are a good way to learn colour mixing as well as colour theory. Perhaps I might do a colour wheel mandala workshop one day soon.
