Currently unavailable for purchase

Just a corner of my studio.

I have been a professional artist since 1990, starting out doing pencil portrait commissions. These days I have my own back yard studio, where I work towards future exhibitions, and teach weekly classes & workshops in watercolour and acrylics as well as drawing.
My studio is located in Hobson’s Bay ( Altona Meadows) , Victoria

  • Thank you, Liz ! I do love my studio, and it is always changing and evolving. It’s a very vibrant space that seems to have a wonderful energy and feeling about it.

wow Karin, love your studio and wonderful art. brilliantly colourful your students must love attending ,
mine has so much I don’t need but I guess I am too scared to get rid of anything. if I give things away next I find I am looking for it. I have a box full of raffia not used now for years [I used to make those raffia hats] but sure I will need it if I get rid of it. [just one example ] I still have clothes and fabric bits and bobs from 50 years ago !!

  • Thank you for the lovely comment, Virginia. I guess you noticed all the clutter in my studio photos. I can relate to not wanting to throw anything out. An artist can use anything, especially when you are dabbling in many media, and collage. My students also end up leaving their unfinished work behind, so yes, it’s a bit of a clutter. What to do? I loved my studio in the early days, when it was nearly empty, but of course it is also great to have everything I need in one place. I call it a creative mess.
