Watercolour on Arches paper. This was painted from a photo I took of a box of shells. I loved the photos and the colours for the shells. Next time I would paint them from life, however. This is about A4 size.
I have been a professional artist since 1990, starting out doing pencil portrait commissions. These days I have my own back yard studio, where I work towards future exhbitions, and teach weekly classes & workshops in watercolour and acrylics as well as drawing.

I love the ocean, shells and so much about the beaches…this is a beautiful painting that says so much to me personally!
Thank you, Ellen! I can’t remember where I got the shells. I think I found some on the beach, and some are from my daughter. I still have this in spite of having it in a lot of exhibitions. I’ll probably keep it unless someone makes me a good offer.
