fallow sky

I miss you moon and sleep I will
as stardust coats my lids with shell
I breathe in deep the apple dust
as Robin sings her songs robust
and gold the light so dappled still
it plays a tune on seagull’s bill
I tended to the crocus garden
silken slippers soaked in ardour
painful still is Daffodil
defaulting on her friend Jonquil
married to the Wheelbarrow
of simple life and sunny yellow
mellow mellow smell the mallow
Stars away, the sky is fallow

It’s a joy and privilege to create little offerings to share, a taste of nostalgia, a little warmth for the heart in a moment of reflection. I enjoy illustrating for children and the inner child.

  • thanks so much Fa, at night late, while everyone’s asleep, I often get the urge to write poetry, of the whimsical kind, where this could mean that, and vice versa, so glad you enjoyed : )xx

I see the mind of a poet forming out words of what she is feeling. We feel many different emotions and they are put into different metaphors, but that is the beauty of a poet. You are my dear a Poet indeed. Love this. xoxoxoxoxo

  • thank you so much Iris, yes, that’s exactly right, i couldn’t articulate what I’m doing but that sounds just perfect explanation for this piece….often late at night when all are sleeping on my side of the world, I feel very inspired to write poems….xxx
