polaroid green

polaroid green
swirl of tide
swollen shifts
sounds you heard
I heard them too
and missed missed
missed the boat
alone i went
alone alone
to see the whale
made now
of stone
whale crying
on the shore
tears left
no more no more
pebbled memories
it’s what, what
I saw, I saw
his life
fall, fall
from grace
tail torn
kept his
worn worn
in my head
beside the bed
polaroid green
alone this me
this memory…
a lung…
which breathes
breathes me
into sea
suffer me
twisted twirl
of fray
strings strings
i tore away
shallow waters
run thru
shifting sands
portals into
other lands
