Whales and coffee

The whale said to me
‘_you should hop on on my back
I’ll take you to sea and we’ll never look back_’

I said to the whale
‘-very tempting that is
I’d like to and all, but you see how it is-’

He just shook his head
in dismay and disgust he said
’_What’s the matter, is it me you don’t trust_’

I looked down at my feet
too shy now to answer
I’d upset my friend and I should’ve known better

how do you tell leviathan your friend
you felt you would drown if you went
on a swim to the end of the end

the whale flicked his tail
which turned all the currents
he smiled with one eye, then he winked with the other

‘_O I know you can’t come now and never look back
I was pulling your leg, I was having a lend_’

O were you really’ we high fived each other
shall we meet here tomorrow for coffee my brother

you should publish your own picture books. with your original paintings and poems and short stories, i am sure it will be success. I am sure your paintings are very suitable to such a story.
