Sing to me sweetly

Sing to me sweetly
a nice constellation
I’ll rock you to sleep
at the dawn of creation
hop in my boat
at the corner of nothing
we’ll row down the river
to visit my stallion
strawberry passionfruit
citrus and mead
a cerebral mindblast
just spit out the seeds
the grasses were soft
the sickness was sweet
the little grey dove
wept to sleep at my feet
the salt heeled my sole
the cobwebs took flight
my hair became solace
for a spider that night
I said to my boat
give me your crown
I want to dress up
and we’ll light up the town

Dream #3 for Karin

have someone create music and song from my poems, from my words…have someone realise they’re lyrics, this would give me great joy

The other morning I woke up from a dream, there was an email waiting patiently in my Inbox telling me that someone had read one of my poems, and on the spur of the moment, had created a song from the music in their heart, this is the most wonderful answer to a prayer I’ve been praying..

You can listen to it here on myspace if you’re a member (or sign up takes just a second) it’s called Sing to Me Sweetly by the katie winter aka uncleblack a singer/songwriter/writer/photographer here on redbubble

There is another song written and recorded by Uncle Black of one of my poems, Paper Boats, you can also listen to it at the same place as ‘sing to me sweetly’
