How Special You Are

How Special You Are
By Karin Taylor

There’s a little grey cloud
above my head
He wears his tears around his neck
They drip so heavy
Like it’s raining lead

I asked him why
he worries so
He told me straight
He did not know

I asked him where
his smile had gone
He thought it left
when sorrow was born

I tilted his chin
Up to the sky
And tenderly
Began to cry

He asked me why
I was now weeping
I said my heart
Had a heavy feeling

As he looked up
Into the sky
We spent the evening
Wondering why

We wondered all about the earth
We wondered ‘bout the universe
We wondered about everything
Til misery had lost it’s sting

And as the night sky
Brightens with stars
Remember for me
