enduring heart

On tea tree lakes

unfurling green

a floating pasture waits

wing-ed creatures, fairylike

of friendliness partake

silver meadow mercury

promoting dedication

romanc-if-y-ing every thing

en-tom-o-phile’s va-ca-tion

dragonflies are mating there

adorned in threads-spun-red

some of them are butterflies

flitting ’round my head

the sun that warms by day

sends nature’s fragrance forth

it keeps my heart afloat

and wears away my bruise

the moon burns bright-the-way

and love will conquer all

remember to remember that

when life becomes a storm

although the dark dismays

and seas will froth and foam

despite the dark

and sombre thoughts

my heart refused to drown

Here’s me reciting my poem…

…sorry I look a bit scary here in the still! I hope you enjoy my recital.
Thank you for watching, reading and listening.
