created in Procreate on iPad, a mother/father/carer bird, takes the chicks on a little exercise excursion through the nearby park, above them, beyond in the distance, is their beautiful home, the rustic red bird house atop a green tree branch! A cute and bright piece for boys or girls, celebrating family, nursery, baby, to welcome new baby or newborn, a christening, baptism or baby naming day, or a child’s birthday.

It’s a joy and privilege to create little offerings to share, a taste of nostalgia, a little warmth for the heart in a moment of reflection. I enjoy illustrating for children and the inner child.

Very cute Karin! Although technically a mom and dad can’t be a chick ~ I know, it doesn’t matter when it’s an artwork or when it’s for kids – I’ve seen a kids show before that had a mother and father caterpillar, as wall a baby butterfly. Although I have also seen another show where a chick hatched, and when it saw the chick that was helping him come out of his egg, he kept calling that chick “mommy” :o)
thanks very much Mui-Ling, I’ve changed the wording just for you, I hope it makes more sense now :)

Oh, Karin, how adorable! LOL, You must giggle all the way through a work. How absolutely cute with the little feather (cowlick?) sticking up off the back of the head, and the leaf-like wings, and gorgeous little breast, and those adorable, tiny red beaks. The colors are fantastic. So happy.
lol…thanks so much Frannie, sometimes I try to paint something really happy when I’m sad, it cheers me up! Other times, I try and paint my sadness…or my happiness…..or what I wish for. I sometimes smile at the end, if I feel like it might make other people smile. it is fun though, being able to create a new character and trying to make it loveable and cute :)
