This is actually reminding me of an adorned Indian elephant – and come to think of it there seems to be that influence in much of your work. Very nice Karin.
Thank you so much Mui-Ling, yes, I do seem somewhat influenced by India and the bright colours, etc. At one point I almost joined up with the Hare Krishna mob when I was much younger and bit dippier, as was always searching for something deeper spiritually, I guess I love symbolism and spirituality mixed together and I have a special reverence for the elephant and somehow India influences me.. When younger, I think most of my clothes were bought from markets, and were batik as well as any bags I had, had an islander or indian influence, so it is the islands and india do influence me in the aspect of design as well as heart. Very observant of you Mui-Ling :)
