The Love Bird is drawn with a pencil on a sketch pad, photographed and painted with a wacom tablet.
based loosely on a nightjar owlet ..they are gorgeous and have huge eyes

signature ‘K’ created for me by my brother raindogs for whom I have a deep appreciation. He’s a wonderful artist, photographer, writer and friend. Raindogs created this letter ‘K’ for me out of the goodness of his heart. I’m so lucky to have friends like you raindogs, thank you so much :)

Very sweet Karin; although owls are night creatures, this looks like a creature of the sun as it sits in front of a bright light while surrounded by flowers and trees that grow with the sun. It looks like any minute it’ll give flirty little wink ;)
so true Mui-Ling…I’m so glad you like it :) I think that’s why I called him The Love Bird, and left the ‘owl’ word out, but I think ofmost of my birds as ‘owls’ even though some of them really don’t look like owls, lol :)
