The making of little wood owl on video:

little wood owl is so named, by my friend Mui-Ling who mentioned she thought it looked like one, so that’s exactly what I think he or she should be named lol. Thanks so much Mui-Ling

I created this with a stylus on the iPad in an app called Procreate, which is a lot like Photoshop, building the work up, layer by layer of paint. I have created a video above to show my progress from the initial pencil drawing, right through to the final stage. The very last stage was worked up in Photoshop after I’d created the video. I hope you enjoy.

OMGosh, Karin, how adorable. Little wood owl elicits an immediate giggle! You must have more fun creating these adorable drawings! Who can resist little daisies growing on a tree; not even the owl, obviously. So cute!

  • haha…thanks so much Frannie, your comment left me laughing and smiling so much, thank you thank you!! Yes, Little Owl has a thing for white daisies….so much so, that he’s ensured all the trees in the forest had them grafted on…funny little thing :) x
