Sarah by © Karin Taylor

This is a photo I took of my daughter Sarah when she was 18 a couple of years ago, I have edited it a little bit (cropped and processed) I really like this image of her as the Mad Hatter preparing to go to a fancy dress party, as she created the outfit/hat from an old seersucker checkered tablecloth wrapped around another hat the kids got from a country fair. I think it shows her personality. Intelligent, sassy, funny, a great artist and a goodfriend.

Beautiful photo, but I am guessing by her expression, that you were much more excited about this than she was. She has that “Ohhh Mom!” look on her face. Haaa!

  • haha…well, yes…ever since she was a little girl, she exhibited a lack of patience with photographers, including her Nenek Sal (Grandma) so…..you have picked it just right (that’s the sassy bit) :)

  • oh really!! lol… :) ….we’ll never forget when she was about 3 and posing for photos with Nenek Sal….she grew most impatient and said “are you done yet Nenek”!! haha…glad I’m not the only one Sandra, thanks so much! xo

The colours here remind me of your artworks – in fact from the preview in my activity monitor I was almost thinking it was your art – even the face is quite provocative! You two sure get much inspiration from each other ;)

  • thanks so much Mui-Ling! :)
