I’ve been making these little teacups all afternoon, the smell of musk and marshmallow has been quite a heady mix! Yummy venetian biscuits, icing sugar, freckles and lifesavers are all the little bits and pieces required for this yummy sweet party fare. I hope you like!!!

Wow….even your teacups ( cupcakes for us Americans?…of course, cupcakes don’t have handles!) are full of whimsy! These tiny confections seem to ooze all the love you must pour into them! Love this image….and the pastels are splendid!

  • thank you so much Karen, lol…in Australia we call cupcakes ‘fairy cakes’ sometimes or ‘patti cakes’ which is English I think….but more and more, in shops we see them being called ‘cupcakes’. These aren’t really the cupcake type of thing we are familiar with, the body is simply a marshmallow, with a chocolate freckle sitting atop. They are pasted or glued onto a biscuit base (tik toks or venetian biscuits/cookies) and a pink musk lifesaver candy has been cut in half with scissors to form the little handle on the ‘cake’ or ‘cup’….so happy you like it, I got so frustrated at the end trying to take photos before the light dimmed at the end of day…as I wanted a ‘natural’ look, without the flash, in the end, I had to use the flash but couldn’t get a nice composition lol…..luckily being able to use some processing at the end and the texture really help smooth it out and create a nice little composed shot! xox
