Paisley Elephant is a crop of one of my paintings which I’ve reworked by adding more colour, more texture and overlays, to give it more impact. I hope you like it.

Brilliant work Karin…love both versions but the cropping is most interesting here…love the textures…amazing artistry in your gallery…!

  • aw, thank you so much Marie, so happy you like it….sometimes, I find when I’m saving some of my files to the iPad, it gives me an opportunity to quickly crop and find other interesting possibilities through playing with app filters. Once I’ve explored that on the iPad, I can then simulate it on the large file in PS and it’s a lot of fun to rework an image. I have only done this occasionally but I realise there is a lot of potential with this method…..thank you again :) x

How sweet! That elephant is so cute and cuddly! That feeling, I feel, is brought out more in this cropped version – stimulates the sense of touch more; especially from the way you frame it with the texture… almost like it is in the water and helping the bird stay out of it :)

  • I hadn’t thought of it like that….so happy that the crop brings out the sense of touch, that’s really lovely, thanks so much Mui-Ling, and the idea that the ellie is keeping the birdie safe! :) x
