I took this self portrait today, wearing black and against my son Ben’s new black feature chalk wall, using my Canon Photoshop G11, after finally figuring out the Portrait Mode. I then took it into my new Nik Color Efex Pro 4 software and processed it with some filters as well as a little blur in Photoshop and a bit of a tweak with the clone brush to remove blemishes. I look much younger in this sort of studio picture, but it’s nice sometimes, to create an illusion of youth. I really enjoyed the process. Hope you like! This is all just practice for me with my camera, finding out it’s limitations and abilities through trial and error and seeing what magic the software can do :)
