aloha, this painting of a little bird with a big heart, is called "You’re on my Heart was created from a picture I had in my mind, I was thinking, what kind of card of gift would I really value getting or giving to someone else…..and this came to mind. So here it is, I hope you like it. It’s a pencil drawing, painted digitally in PS with wacom tablet, and the background is one of my own textures from the blank pages of an old book. The soft “barely there” rainbow is borrowed from another painting of mine called Kokeshi Rainbow. My personal favourite from you. I try to imagine me sitting down and doodling out all of those intricate detais and my OCD-ish brain wants to implode. I commend you for your patience and creatiity on this. I especially like the flowers (and your choice of colours for them) as well as the book page BG. The bee is super cute too. :)
thank you so much Birgitta, I actually have OCD and it somehow helps me to zone out and forget everything when I draw, but I know what you mean, sometimes the intricacies look so much that I feel overwhelmed by other people’s detailed work and wonder how on earth they have the patience to complete the work…lol…so happy you like the little flowers and subtle colours as well as the BG…I took a photo of the book a long time ago, and it just seemed the right thing that was needed to complete this ;)
