Daisy the elephant spent her evenings in the beautiful night gardens of Lavender Bay by the Sea of Scented Daisies where the air was golden and the breezes blew gently and cooled her delicate skin, the moon shone full eternally and all manner of insects and tiny birds found safe haven there on moonlit shores.

There is a certain magic there, that cannot be found anywhere else in the lands that we know about, so many travellers and pilgrims go in search day and night, night and day, hoping for a glimpse or a whiff for it is said that once you arrive, you have truly arrived. There is no going back, nor would you want to, but there is one thing you must know if you decide to begin the journey…..that every obstacle brings you nearer, every unopened gate is the way, and every lost person has the roadmap locked inside. For the place is within, not without, and this truly, is the mystery of life xx

This is a pencil drawing on paper (mechanical pencil) which has been painted in Photoshop with a Wacom Tablet and pen

It’s a joy and privilege to create little offerings to share, a taste of nostalgia, a little warmth for the heart in a moment of reflection. I enjoy illustrating for children and the inner child.
