my backyard

a little painting I did tonight on a small canvas, the paints I used were:

Lyra Aquacolour crayons
Derwent Artist Pencils
Derwent Watercolour pencils
Derwent Water Soluble Inktense Blocks
Interactive acrylics
AS Artist Spectrum Chalk pastels
FW acrylic artist inks
Staedtler pigment liner
Photoshop to create some elements

this is my interpretation of the Australian outback farm, kids having miles and miles to play and explore in huge wide open spaces, a couple of sheep in the background, a couple of old homesteads with white picket fences

yeh i can see ..its beautiful but a little unusual too ..i mean looking incomplete

  • ah thank you so much smita, it’s visible to me now, but keeps coming and going lol….yes, this is much different from my normal style. It’s the Australian outback, on a farm. I’ve used real paints on canvas this time :)

I can see your painting very clearly and I love it…I love the simplicity of it…the focus is on her and it reminds me of your early work which as you know I fell in love with a long time ago….this is really beautifully poignant Karin…it says so much in just a few strokes of the brush and pencil…well done…
