down by the riverside
this is a pencil drawing on paper, created in my A2 acid free art diary, it’s been photographed and painted in photoshop with a wacom pen and tablet. Creation took 2 sittings, the drawing takes approximately 4 hours, the painting was a 9 hour sitting. In all, this piece required around 13 hours to complete.

Thank you so much Mel, this was so much bolder in colour during the painting process, but I’m very much toning them down as I go, the pastels just somehow seem much more appropriate, tho i love bold colours too :) xx

well, what do i say kt..this is so lovely…it has a slightly different feel, and the more subdued colours give it real childlike, dreaminess. i imagine picking up an old nursery rhyme book from my childhood and seeing something just like this inside. really wonderful.
