Celebrating my 20th sale of this design thanx so much
Vintage Elephant began life as a ‘paisley elephant’ which is where the initial inspiration sprang from in my mind. The idea just seemed to build on itself and somehow emerged as a rather vintage looking elephant. After I completed the art, I googled ‘vintage elephants’ and was surprised to find that the colour scheme I’ve used here, appears to have been used regularly on antique elephants of a vintage age. Think colourful fairs and merry go rounds, cowboys and tiny tinny wind up toys of eras gone by :)

after the pencil work (on sketch pad) was complete, i chose to colour the elephant with marker pens, and altered the colours in Photoshop CS4 then created a tshirt first. I hope you like it :)
