Bunny and me
method and media
A drawing on acid free sketch paper with mechanical pencils, photographed and painted with a wacom tablet in Photoshop CS4, this image has just hints of colour keeping it with a pastel or vintage look/appeal…i want it to look old fashioned and timeless…yet have relevant to the current day…. the textures here you see are my own, with a brush from crackle burn. They are photographed fabric swatches sewn together by my daughter Sarah, and photographs of old stained book covers and letters from my childhood…all layered one upon the other, to create depth and meaning… I wanted to create a sheer background and foreground for the girls, so they look like they’re at the curtains perhaps looking out the window at some passersby and happily daydreaming..

what’s the painting about?
these two little characters could be sisters, friends, mother and daughter, i’ll let you decide .. i hope you like this little pair….i think they’re sending love to everyone out there with those pretty blue eyes… x
About my Signature ‘K’
the beautiful letter ‘K’ which I’m using for my signature here, was created by my very special friend, artist, writer and tribal brother rain-dogs – thank you so much! :)

It’s a joy and privilege to create little offerings to share, a taste of nostalgia, a little warmth for the heart in a moment of reflection. I enjoy illustrating for children and the inner child.
