This is “Lady Sunshine”

She spreads sunshine wherever she goes…it’s always a pleasure to have a friend like Sunshine in your life…..spreading love, joy, peace, harmony…happiness

Sunshine began as a simple pencil drawing on sketch pad as most of my work does these day, I then photographed her and worked the painting up in Photoshop CS4, the painting took 7 hours and many layers…the drawing took around 4 hours. I drew the city buildings in the background in photoshop too.

Sunshine is my favourite work of all time so far…there’s just something about her, that makes me smile – just like in the John Denver song ….

“Sunshine always makes me smile……” and if you listen to the lyrics of the song by JD i mean every word of it, it’s like a song that gets to the very heart of how I feel

I’ve lately been uploading a work a day for the past week or so…but that is going to slow down soon, it’s just that i had a backlog of drawings i really wanted to paint and present on redbubble… i’ve got a lot on next week what with Mother’s Day, etc… and I might take a little break, but I’ll still be around tomorrow I’d say :)
