CHUNKIE Mother and Child

Next in line is CHUNKIE Mother and Child – dedicated to my mum – because it was her idea….and for over a year the theme of mothers and daughters has been sitting with me….thanx so much for the suggestion mum! I hope you like it ;) CHUNKIE Mother and Child is made completely from plasticine, with a little photoshopping. This is a sweet card or print for new mums, babies nurseries, children’s rooms or daycare centres and maternity hospitals…that kind of thing

Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

Too cute for words ~ that pink is fab and I love the detail of the kids hair!! I’m actually quite surprised the plasticine is holding it’s shape in this heat!! :o)

  • aw kaz…thank you very muchly… i have air con!! but the best part is….plasticine is much more malleable in the warm….i prefer it to be warm….your hands don’t have to work so hard to mix the clay !! ;) xx

So sweet…it must have taken some doing to create both plus the sofa…what a talent you have!!

  • surprisingly, this one was born very quickly Janis…whereas the wedding couple took many many hours…this one took about 4 -5 hours…so not nearly as taxing as the other one….you know this one just seemed ready to pop out! ;) lol thank you so much!
